RMUK Leeds Hair and Beauty Day Spa | Event

Last week I got to go and experience Leeds First Hair and Beauty Day Spa complete with a bar and terrace. Yes you heard me right RMUK have gone beyond the expectations of a hair salon and have created a place fit for A listers. You want to feel like a A lister, no problem they have a chaffeur service that will pick you up from home or work as long as it within a 3 mile radius. How amazing is that.

The Salon itself is a lovely large space, nice and bright with very clean looking decor. I love the Fireplace and sofa area where you can relax whilst waiting for your stylist.

The Stylist were very helpful and even gave me a complimentary hair curl whilst going through my hair needs so I had an idea what I would need in my next visit.

The Salon also has a private room, which personally I think this is a brilliant idea. People can hire this room for a girly day out or if you have children and don't want the risk of them running around and having to keep watch. It is also perfect for religious purposes for those not allowed to publicly show their hair.

They also have a nail bar and pedicure room which again the decor was beautiful.

Then there is the bar. I think this was great planning on there side. I think having a nice relaxing drink whilst waiting for your nails to fully dry or after being pampered is a brilliant way to end the day. The terrace area is wonderful for warm summer or crisp winter days.

Now onto my favourite part of the building the Day Spa

I cannot express how much I loved the attention to detail with the lighting. The atmosphere was amazing and really relaxing.

The Day Spa uses all Aveda products offering luxury treatments designs to your specific needs. Anything from facials to full body massages you will not be disappointed.

They also have a double treatment room so you can bring along a special friend or partner. Also would be perfect for a mothers day treat.

So there you go a luxury Day Spa perfect for hen dos, girly days out, birthday treats .... the reasons to visit are endless but I think I may be coming up with a few reasons myself in the near future. It really was an experience I won't forget for a long time to come.

Autumn I blinking Love You

I am so happy we are now in Autumn and these are the reasons why I love this season so bloody much....

1. I can wear a coat - Yes actually wear a coat and know that I will be able to leave it on. I hate British summers the debate before you leave the house, should I take this coat, will I be too warm what if it rains (I always seem to make the wrong decision). In autumn you know you will 9 times out of time 10 be able to wear that coat at all times whilst outside.

2. Coat Shopping - Why this is my most favourite thing to buy all year I don't know but I love it. I think it's because you don't have to Que for a changing room with half the shop draped over your arm  to then find you need another size, just find a mirror and try on as you go. There is so many styles to choose from this year too. Cannot wait to go get mine.

3. Leaves - The colour of leaves, the smell of wet leaves, the sound of the crumpling of dried leaves under your feet on a cool crisp morning ... Oh how I love leaves.

4. Bonfires - Now Im absolutely terrified of fire works (due to an incident when I was little) but I still love bonfire night. The crackling of the fire, wearing wooly hats and scarves, the cuddling up to our loved ones ... and the food oh I do love a good bonfire BBQ and toffee apples one of the most hardest things to eat without getting a sticky ring all round your mush!

5. Rain - The sound of rain on a window, Its raining as I type and I'm just sat in bed relaxing with a cup of green tea typing away and I couldn't be happier at this moment in time.

6. Conkers - Yes.. I know Im too old to play conkers (hangs head with a sticky out lip) but the happy memories I have going to the local park with my Dad, Sister and our clothes prop, Dad hitting them down whilst me and my Sister run round excitedily trying to catch them will alway make me smile. We spent hours putting them in the airing cupboard to dry and then nail vanishing them all wonderful colours.

7. Food - The slow cooker starts to make more of an appearance and what beats walking into your house and the smell of a slow cooked stew or chilli fills the air. Also Brussel Sprouts are everywhere. Yes I'm not afraid to admit I love these green little buggers so much. I have them with everything on roasts, in stirfrys with every meal I cook really.

8. Christmas is in the shops - I'm like a little kid when it comes to Christmas I love everything about it so when I start seeing things in shops I go all warm inside. Even more exciting this year as I'll have a 7 month old. I have already bought 50% of the presents and my gift bags.

and finally

9. Candles - I love coming home and lighting a candle. Also sat on the sofa snuggled in a blanket the room flickering in candle light whilst watching films, Hot chocolate in hand. Cant wait to stock up on those spicy scents.

Whats your favourite part of Autumn??

FOTD - RMUK Leeds Event Makeup | Beauty

On Thursday I attended the RMUK Leeds opening event and thought I would share my makeup and hair products that I used on the day.

I started with a clean canvas, hair washed the night before and left to dry naturally.

Makeup wise I used quite a mix.
Base - Nars oil free primer, Nars Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc, Collection's concealer in Fair.
Eyes - Ted baker cream eyeshadow, Macs Brûlée on lid, Topshops purple and grey shades from Smokey Eye Palette in crease and on lower lash line, Ted bakers liquid eyeliner for lash line and finally Benefits Rollergirl Mascara.
Cheeks - Benefit Hoola for contour, Nars Desire for blush and MAC's Mineralise skin finish as a highlight.
Lips - MAC's Asian Flower

The only product used in my hair was Show Beauties Working Texture Spray. I love this so much to give me that bit of oomph my hair lacks.

And here is the finished look...

I found this look very wearable and pretty.

Show Beauty Volume Mousse | Review

I haven't used an hair mousse since I was a teenager I used to use it all the time to scrunch my hair whilst drying it to try and achieve loose waves, but I always ended up with crispy parted hair (a look I seemed to love then!)

hair mousse

When I tried the Show Volume Mousse I have to admit I didn't expect much and thought I would achieve the same crispy hair.

I washed my hair as normal and pumped the mousse to fill my palm, and just applied to towel dry hair. I didn't scrunch whilst drying I just dried with my hair dryer as normal using my hands to comb through my hair.

The finishing result were very surprising (ignore the makeupless tired face). My normally flat lifeless hair had a lot more volume and texture. It wasn't heavy, I couldn't even feel it in my hair (I did only use a small amount). It took less than 2 minutes longer to do but I felt like it looked like I'd spent a lot longer.

The packaging as with all their other products is gorgeous and takes pride of place on my dressing table. It also leaves your hair with their trade mark caramel scent too, which I love!

Do you use a hair mousse?
