My Little Beauty Room
Monday, April 07, 2014
So not done a post like this for a while so thought I would share my weekend with you and what a busy one it was.
I have had the go ahead to turn the little spare room which was currently used as a junk/ ironing room into my little beauty/dressing room for quite a few months now but never really finished it. This weekend saw me actually kicking my oversized a*se into gear and finally sorting the room out and getting into a stage I'm happy with.
There is still a lot to be done but I'm quite proud of myself for not been my usual lazy self and spending 90% of my weekend grafting rather than playing Pet Sage (damn that thing is addictive) and blogging.
Thought I would share with you my progress so far and my little layout the room is bigger than it looks in the pictures but is hard to take photos of I'll maybe do a little video when its all finished.
The Nail Polish Rack was made for me by my partner and I painted it white to match the rest of my furniture. I love how I can easily see all my polish rather than routing through my drawers like I use to do.
The mirror on the back wall makes the room look a little bigger and brighter as there is no window in the room so have to have really good lighting. The white walls help this. The mirror was £40 from Dunhelm Mills and I love it.
My best part of my room is the wall with the Clothes rail and my inspirational quote. The clothes rail was just £8.99 from Argos and I bought some of the black non slip coat hangers from Primark to hang up some of my dresses. I also put fairy lights round the rail to make it a little more pretty.
The quote came from The Range and it was £8.99 and I had to get this as I said in the TMI tag this is my favourite quote and so I had to have it for my wall.
So I still have to fully sort all my makeup out as all my drawers are a little mixed up at the moment. I may do a Makeup collection and storage post when I'm happy with it all.
So I'm now off to have a much needed Kip as Im falling asleep whilst writing this but really wanted to get this wrote up tonight.
And a big thank you goes to the BF for letting me take over a room and also for all the drilling and screwing he did to make this possible .... he's a good egg!!
..... Also he was sick of seeing all the makeup in the bedroom haha
Anyone got any storage post if so leave you links would love to read them

It only cost £7 for the MDF and he made it in 20 minutes and all i had to do was paint it .. love it x
DeleteI love that quote you posted on your wall. Reading something like that keeps you motivated. I have a big plan to rearrange my room too but I'm only good at planning and I usually let other people do all the work. Maybe soon I'll find the time and effort to finally do it. :) I would put up a life size white framed oval shaped mirror in my room and paint the room in pastel pink shade and do a lot of compartments for my collection of hats, shoes and bags. My imagination's running crazy right now, you just got me fired up. You did a good job on your room girl!
ReplyDeleteThat nail polish rack is pretty impressive! x
