Have You Discovered Week 3 - Foundation

So today is the 3rd of 21 weeks of products that don't get raved about these can be an un sung brand or just a product from a well known brand that you don't feel gets enough praise. Please see Becka's Beauty Blog for the introduction post and If you want to join in you can any time throughout the series.

Now foundation I feel is not something I really like to recommend to someone as it sit differently on different skin types. I would always suggest getting samples from Higher end brands before parting with your hard earned cash. Around 6 months ago I was in Boots and Maxfactor had a offer on and I decided to try their Face Finity All Face Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation My sister has had this in the past and said it was nice but some of the ones she recommended in the past have been useless on my dry skin.

The foundation is a Primer , Concealer or and Foundation in one but I have to admit I do still use a little bit of Benefit Porefessional under my eyes to fill in the little laughter lines I have. The coverage is brilliant it is definitely a full coverage but I don't feel like it is heavy on my skin. I use my Real Technique Expert Face Brush with this and it applies flawlessly.

The product its self is quite thick and a little goes a long way and blends easily. The wear time is really good for the price too and last me through out the day if i was to go out in the evening I would reapply though.

Maxfactor say It ahas a matt finish but on my skin it finishes quite dewy which I love and I feel like its quite moisturising on my dry skin. I'm not sure how it sit on oily skin but if you have dry skin it maybe one to check out.

The Foundation is available at boots for £11.99 and their is an offer on at the moment spend £15 on Maxfactor and you get 3 free full-size products with a value of £27. (woohoo!!)

What I Got for My Birthday

I thought I would share with you what I got for my birthday not because Im bragging in anyway but because I really appreciate everything I received and wanted to share my excitement for the other Nosey people like me out there that enjoy these posts.

I will start off by saying a MASSIVE thank you to all my friends and family for these gifts and making my Birthday special as always.

The first things I received were off my best friends. I have been mentioning to them I wanted to start a MAC eyeshadow palette as I only have the potted ones and I was so happy to receive a MAC palette and insert off of my friend Lisa with a wood winked eyeshadow to start me off. I then opened Emmas present to find another MAC eyeshadow in the shade Brûlée and also some amazing Victoria Secret goodies - The cherry blossom bath oil and body spay and the smell is gorgeous perfect for spring.

From Work I was blown away with the gifts I received I got the real technique eye brush starter kit and a tangle teaser 2 Primark Gift cards off 2 different people and some of my favourite Lush goodies.

I did receive money off my mum and a few family members and I treated myself to some MAC goodies with it. I got the MAC sheen Supreme in Asian Flower, a pan eyeshadow in Vellum and a Blush.

Off my BF I received a gorgeous notebook as he knows I'm obsessed and he's also paying for driving lessons.

Last but not least was my sister and I got lots of little bag fillers like cute tweezers, tissues, nail files and a mirror. she also got me a little head thing that I water and it goes hair. One of my favourite gifts also came from my sister and this was these gorgeous silver twinkly earrings for WH Samuel's and I have wore them everyday since.

I hope you liked seeing what I received and I will look forward to doing reviews and tutorials on these products in the future

Not Another Tag Tag

Im not normally one to do tags But I saw this on  Hayley's from Tea Party Beauty Blog and couldn't resist. I thought this was a good light hearted tag which was fun to write and read.

So here are Hayley's Rules

The Rules

You must include both myself & the person who tagged you in your post (and the rules too).
Once you've answered all your questions you need to tag 5 people.
Also if you tweet me the link to your post (@teapartybeauty) I will RT.
If you are tagged & don't do the post you will have bad luck for 68.5 years. FACT.

You've made it BIG & bagged some VIP Fashion Week tickets. You lucky devil you. But in your rush to get there & get yourself noticed you forgot your VIP Passes. The guy on the door says he will cut you a deal, you can go in only if you sacrifice either your Front Row seat, backstage privileges or goody bag. What's it gonna be?
Oooo front row seats definitely every time I have had front row seat to a gig or show of any kind I have always managed to embarrass myself, so this was an easy decision for me.

You're making a new subscription box, what 4 items & which dreaded perfume sample would you include in it?
Benefit Professional sample I must have 10 of these from beauty boxes and goodie bags so must be what everyone needs and I don't want to disappoint. Perfume has got to be Charlie Red to remind me of the good old days when I always opened one of these at Christmas. An eyeshadow in Electric Blue as I love to read the irate comments people write on face book on twitter on how they would ressemble a clown if they wore it. The last product would be something good too make them keep the subscription for another month just incase I get better products so I would go with a Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser.

What's your biggest blogging bugbear? The one thing guaranteed to make your blood boil & have you screaming/eye rolling at your laptop?
It fustrates me when I see a comment like lovely shade you want to follow each other and its on one of my Fact of the Day post obviously not even took the time to read the title! so how about NO I will not follow you or even bother looking up your blog!!

No more joining in Twitter chats only slightly relevant to your blog. You can only join in one blogger chat a week and for the rest of your blogging days, which one's it gonna be and why?
#bbloggers Chat definitely this is the only one I remember every week . Plus I love the banter on there as well as all the advise.

'Fess up, do you actually own any MAC? And if so what don't you like about the product?
I own quite a bit of MAC and yes I do like them but sometimes I do think I can buy 3 lipsticks for the price of this in boots but still I need to own one of them black bullets and feel excited bringing home one of their little bags.

The blogging Gods ban arm swatching, which body part will you swatch on now?
Cheeks this way I can look like a colourful army girl ready to hide in stashes of makeup in times I need alone time.

You can no longer have Yankee Candles & Perfume Bottles in the background of your shots, what other inanimate object will you choose?
A pineapple very exotic and those spiky leaves will be perfect for sitting stuff in or dangling things off. Why didn't I think of this sooner. I will look healthy too.

Your blogs Instagram is it for cats or meal shots?
Meal shots but of bought artistic food not my slapped together hash brown potato waffles and beans.

The Blogs I Nominate -
and the 5th one is YOU whoever is reading this, if you do do it leave a comment and Ill come and read

Have you Discovered....Skincare - Week 1

Have You Discovered...?

So today is the 1st of 21 weeks of products that don't get raved about these can be an un sung brand or just a product from a well known brand that you don't feel gets enough praise. Please see Becka's Beauty Blog for the introduction post and If you want to join in you can any time throughout the series.

This week the topic is Skincare and I have many products I love but one I haven't done a full post on and I have never read a post on before is Lush's Full of Grace.

Full of Grace is a solid serum which is absolutely been a life savour of mine in these past few months. It is a deep moisturising facial serum that I have loved wearing to bed to give my dry skin the much need love it craves for.

Quantitative Ingredients
Murumuru Butter, Calamine Powder, Cupuaçu Butter, Fresh Rose Petal Infusion, Organic Almond Oil, Perfume, Fresh Portobello Mushrooms,Chamomile Blue Oil, Rose Oil, Tagetes Oil,*Eugenol, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Benzyl Cinnamate, *Citronellol, *Farnesol, *Limonene,*Linalool

*occurs naturally in essential oils

I glide this along my skin and it gently melts it leaving natural oils to soak into the skin. The rose oil also targets my pink pigmentation evening out my skin tone.

I would recommend this product to anyone that has dry skin like me that need that moisture boost I really have noticed a difference on the days I have used this.

You can buy this for £8.25

A Nail Fact

Did you know the fastest growing nail is on your middle finger and the one on your dominant hand grows faster than the one on your non dominant.

Nails also grow faster in summer than winter and grow faster in the day than in the night!

Also massaging your finger tips can help nails grow faster, people who work for long hours on keyboards will experience a faster growth of nails.

Thanks for reading my random fact

MayLash Natural Eyelash Serum

Maylash* is a natural revolutionary eyelash serum that has quickly become popular in the UK. I was contacted by MayBeauty last week to see if I wanted to try this and I jumped at the chance. Come on girls we all would love thicker eyelashes and how many False lash effect mascaras do we keep buying to get that thicker look.

I use to have lovely thick eyelashes but over my late teens experimenting in different mascaras, heated curlers and eyelashes made them a little less full and not forgetting the stage I went through enjoying picking off my mascara which is very bad for the eyelashes.

Maylash is so simple to use just one swipe across each eye along the eyelash roots before bed and your done. Here is a Video explaining everything you need to know along with FAQ's.

They predict within 4-8 weeks your eyelashes will be longer, Fuller and Darker. Results will vary from person to person.

Also the Lovely People from MayLash are Giving all my amazing readers 30% off by using the code unlocked30

(Here are some before and after pictures)

I have started applying today and will keep you up to date with results so excited to have fuller lashes without the need for falsies.

So here is the Link again https://maybeauty.co.uk/maylash/ and remember to use code unlocked30 to get your 30% off.

Lush's Brightside Bubble Bar

Anyone that has been reading my blog for a while will know how much I love my Lush products and when I went to the NWBloggers meet in Liverpool last Sunday I was excited to find a few Lush goodies in my bag.

One of the products was their Brightside Bubble Bar. I haven't tried this as always gone for their sweety smelling products like the candy bubble bar and the comforter.

I decided to use this last night and all I can say is wow and WOW! I opened the packet and the smell was amazing like sweet tangerines or orange Opal Fruits yummy, not at all what I expected. Sicillian mandarin, bergamot and tangerine essential oils are what makes this product smell so gorgeously sweet.

Quantitative Ingredients
Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Sicilian Mandarin Oil, Tangerine Oil, Bergamot Oil, *Limonene,*Linalool, Perfume, Gardenia Extract, Colour 14700,Colour 15510, Sicilian Mandarin Oil
*occurs naturally in essential oils

I hardly had to use any of this so will get at least 5 baths out of it so added bonus and excellent value for Money. I just broke off a little corner and crumbled it into running water.

I always give the water a little swish around to help it bubble too and the smell traveled all round the upstairs of my house. Its not an over bearing smell though just a nice subtle sweetness.

I will definitely be repurchasing this as I think this is the perfect product and scent for spring.

Whats your favourite Spring Lush product??

The Suqqu Experience - Gankin Massage

Last Month I was contacted by Selfridges to go and have a little pamper by a company called Suqqu. I cannot express how excited I was as I had heard good things about this brand but not really had the chance to try it out.

Suqqu is a Japanese brand which promotes and enhances natural beauty. The name SUQQU was derived from the Japanese word sukku-to meaning "posture with attitude". Currently only available at Selfridges in the UK Their products range from Skincare to Make-up.

On the Day I arrived at Manchester Selfridges not really knowing what I was going to experience I was greeted by a lovely Lady and was given a glass of amazing tasting peach green tea. I was then told I was to have a Gankin Massage. An Award Winning Japanese facial massage followed by a peek of the new Spring Collection Available now in Selfridges.

The Suqqu Gankin Massge was created by exploring the relationship between stiff facial muscles and sagging skin. Stiffness indicates that the Lymph flow is not working efficiantly and therefore prevents waste from being drained smoothly causing the skin to swell or sag.

The massage itself last 3 minutes and it works on the bone structure, muscles, lymph and blood circulation. This is to help ease away stiffness and tension and enhances the overall metabolism to create a sharper definition.

I was then Introduced to the area Manager Tiziana who would do my treatment. This lady was fantastic and had amazing knowledge of all the products used and I loved the way she informed me on everything she was doing and why. She made the whole process very relaxing.

Firstly my hair was wrapped up out of my face and all my makeup was removed with the most amazingly soft sponge cloth which didn't irritate my dry /sensitive skin at all.

Then on to the massage and nothing could have prepared me for what was about to happen my face had a deep massage. A thick layer of  Musculate Massage Cream  was applied to my fully cleansed face and then the massage began. She applied just the right amount of pressure draining my lymphs and making my face feel incredibly relaxed. I did stop to think about all the weird and wonderful faces the shoppers could see but I was enjoying myself too much to care.

My face was then fully cleansed and a 3 step moisturising regime was done starting with the Moisture repair Essence then the Moisture Repair Cream and finishing with the Moisture Barrier Cream. I received a little goody bag containing the 3 moisturisers and have been using these since and my skin has really benefited from the 3 steps rather than the one moisturiser I use to use.

After my skin was lovely and soft I then got a sneek peak at their new collection which as just been released this month. There is some lovely new eyeshadows all in wearable shades and Tiziana did my makeup using products from the new range.

Here was my finished look a very natural eye look with a nude lip.

I really enjoyed my day at Suqqu and would really recommend the Gankin Massage to anyone. I would like to say a big thank you to the staff for making me feel welcome and relaxed.

Anyone else experienced this before?
