Revlon ColourBurst Lacquer Balm in Vivacious

Last month I was doing my monthly toiletries shop in Boots when the Revlon Colour Burst caught my eye. Now Lately I have been more into my Lipsticks rather than the lip crayons but I found myself adding one of these into my basket.

The one I went for was Vivacious a  pinky-red with subtle warm undertones. I loved the brightness of this lip colour and how It was nearly opaque on lips.

What Revlon Have to say -
High Shine Lacquer. Moisture Rich Balm. A lacquer finish that’s beyond brilliant. Balm that’s beyond comforting. Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips.

I love the fact they twist-up so no sharpening is required, and they also have the peppermint scent to them too.

They have a nice level of shine not too glossy making them a more light weight lip balm. The wear time was also quite impressive of around 4 hours which I don't think is too bad for a lip crayon.

I think this will be perfect for spring summer and I know I will get lots of use out of it.

Now the question is which colour to try next?

Lush Skincare Consultation

Last Month I replied to a tweet from Meadowhall Lush asking if any Bloggers wanted to do a Skincare swap and I sent them a message straight away asking what was Involved.

They explained If I took in products I was using at the moment or disliked products I had bought they would swap them for Lush Skincare product samples for my skin type. The products I took in for my swap were the Philosophy Purity Cleanser and the Elemental Herbology Cell Pumping Facial Hydrator. Both of these products haven't work for my dry skin.

I arrived at the store 15 minutes before opening but they had a little beauty morning on so invited me straight in. I had a little look round until they were ready for me which wasn't long at all.

I was asked my skin type and what I looked for in a product and then we went through each step of a skincare routine choosing product they felt would be perfect for my skin type.

The first thing we went through were face masks now I had tried a few face mask from here but normally for girly pamper nights so I have picked ones that would suit all skin types rather than one specifically for me. I had 4 face masks picked out and put onto my hand to see which I preferred the feel of.

The one I decided on was Sacred Truth this felt amazing on and Lush say Ginseng and ginkgo leaf help to stimulate, whilst honey, yoghurt and free range eggs leave skin soft and moisturised. Green tea and fresh wheatgrass are full of antioxidants, allowing your skin to feel fresh, cleansed and revitalised. This has to be the best face mask Ive tried and left my skin feeling and looking fresh and moisturised I even got the boyfriend to wear it!

We then moved onto Cleansers and we picked out a few but decided on 2 Ultra Bland This was chose as I have redness to my face and my skin is sensitive and dry this is what they say about this product.  Honey softens and conditions the skin, and has antiseptic properties; whilst rose water and rose absolute reduce redness and help to balance the skin. I also told her I have to exfoiliate often to get rid of flaky skin on my nose and she advised Ocean Salt as it is not too harsh and also cleansers too I fell in love with this from the first time I used this.

Moisturisers were next and we decided on 2 again the Skin Drink for really dry days and Celestial. In the Shop I loved skin drink more I liked the smell but on my face I thought It a little over powering I can't really put my finger on what it smells like I said It smelt like sandwich filling herby mayonnaise but the boyfriend disagreed. It was lovely for my dry skin though.

Celestial has to be my favourite now I have used it a few weeks and feel so moisturising Almond milk and Cocoa butter help soothe and moisturise the skin.

The last product was my absolute favourite and I have already repurchased this and that is the Full of Grace Solid Skin Serum. I have been using this on my face every night and it feels amazing and leaves my skin looking beautifully soft.

Any one who is stuck in a rutt with their skincare routine I would urge you to go to Lush and get a skincare consultation. They are so helpful and my skin feels so much better. I will be purchasing most of the items above and you will see full reviews on them shortly.

I have really sensitive skin and I have not reacted to anything that they advised for me so I am so happy.

Thank you Lush for giving me the opportunity to sample your skincare range and I have a feeling that  a lot more of the products will be in my collection soon.

A chocolate fact

Sugar breaks down collagen and elastin which can cause wrinkles. So too much chocolate doesn’t give you pimples, it can give you wrinkles!

MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Lacquer in Criminal

I am a big lover of MUA the quality for the price is amazing and when my sister asked what I wanted for Christmas this year I opted for stocking fillers and MUA goodies was on top of my list.

I was super happy when I opened a MUA Luxe velvet lip lacquer. I have not tried a the LUXE range and my sister knows me well the colour was so me! I love my MAC Candy Yum Yum and would say Criminal is not too far off that.

I love the presentation of this product the box is very sleek and professional and makes it look so much more expensive than the £3.00 they sell at (AMAZING). The packaging to the Lip Lacquer itself also doesn't disappoint the frosted plastic makes it easy to see the shade and I love the black lid with the gold writing makes it look more high end than high street.

The applicator is a doe foot which I think is perfect for this product and applies the product evenly. The pigmentation of this Lacquer is out of this world and once it dries this stuff is going nowhere.

It dries fully matte which I love and I mean you can eat drink lick those lips as much as you like but this Lacquer is staying put! I have not found anything with as much staying power as this and for £3 I don't think I need to keep searching.

To say I am very Impressed with this is an understatement and the remaining 4 shades are definitely going to be in my collection soon so watch this space.

I have also tried it with my MACs Candy Yum Yum over the top as it is every so slightly brighter and this is how it looked I do think these 2 are going to be getting a lot of wear come this spring/summer so bring on the warm weather I have some Lip products to wear!!!!

You can buy this HERE for the Amazing price of £3.00

Temple Spa In the Beginning

Just like the next girl I love a good facial and Spa days are a real treat but if you like me and strapped for cash most months as you have done too much splurging on makeup bit on bobs you don't actually need a Spa or weekly facial is not possible... boo!

Thats where Temple Spa's In The Beginning comes in to make me feel a little better about my lack of cash.

In the Beginning is a Hand-blended facial in a Jar and leaves my face feeling amazing. I've been using this product for well over a year now and I'm on my Second jar.

It is a highly concentrated cleansing balm which first exfoliates the skin, before melting to release deep cleansing ingredients and a rich vitamin complex. It leaves my skin feeling extremely hydrated and dewy.

Temple SPA Say the Following about their product -
  • Intensive nourishment for dry skin
  • Advanced, melting exfoliating beads
  • Nourishes, firms, polishes and brightens
  • Skin feels smooth, clean and dewy
  • Instant relief of skin tautness
  • Rich in Mediterranean botanicals
  • Anti-ageing benefits
  • Concentrated, high performance formula
  • Paraben free

I apply the smallest amount using clean fingers into my forehead, cheeks and chin and massage gently into my skin using circle movements. I have never felt a product like it first I can feel the little beads gently exfoliating my skin and then I can feel them melting into my skin. I normally leave it on for a few minutes to let it melt into my skin some more before using an warm moist muslin cloth to gently massage it off.

I personally use this as a weekly facial as I see it as a little luxury but it can be used as a daily cleansing ritual. Also if i have really dry skin I sometime leave it on for 30 minutes as a face mask and my skin feels ever so soft after.

I have mentioned this product in a few of my Monthly favourites but felt it needed a full post

You can buy In the Beginning here for £28.00.

Have anyone else tried the Temple Spa products and if so what would you recommend???
