Estée Lauder, Take it Away, Total make up remover
Wednesday, October 16, 2013
So the lady at the counter recommended this to me when I bought the double wear foundation as she claimed it was the only product that could remove such a long wearing transfer resistant foundation.... I doubt that but I thought I would give it a try.
I guess, it's kinda hard to get excited about makeup remover but generally I like it because it is really gentle it doesn't irritate my face like a lot of products do, especially when I am going through a spotty stage and using medicated creams.
It does what it says on the... tin or tube in this case : ), the instructions say to apply all over the face and then remove with a cotton pad but I just pump a generous amount straight onto a cotton pad wipe away. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing the makeup coming off on the pad and gradually getting less and less until yours squeaky clean :) It is so quick and easy I love it.
It costs £21 for 200ml which is pretty expensive for a makeup remover but it works so well with my thick high coverage foundations, it even works great on the camouflage makeup I sometimes wear so i think it is worth the extra money.
I do find that i have to use a separate eye makeup remover to make sure I don't wake up with panda eyes as I don't fine this works particularly well on waterproof mascara.
Apparently take it away has recently been discontinued!! I have no idea what I will replace it with as I have been using it for years now so looks like I am on the hunt for a new make up remover : (
Is there a makeup remover that you would recommend?

Oh I love me a bit of Estee Lauder, pity we can't try it now that it's being discontinued '__' , try the Bioderma, it's a really great makeup remover and it's very good for sensitive skin.

I recommend Bioderma! It's my favourite- enjoyed this post- and feel that it's important to have a good makeup remover- so if it works £20 isn't too bad.
