Make My Monday
Monday, July 01, 2013Yogurt & Honey Mask
Today I am going to show you a simple mask which can be adapted for your skin type. The main 2 ingredients are Yogurt and Honey these 2 ingredients are the essential components for homemade face masks WHY??
Yogurt contains an high amount of Lactic acid this has been AHA proven to refine pores whilst exfoliating the skin and simulating the production of collagen . It will gently clean the skin and is perfect to use on even the most sensitive skin not like most exfoliant which are too harsh.
Honey is a natural humectant this means it retains water which will help keep the skin moisturised and soft. It is also an anti irrant making it gentle enough for sensitive skin types.
Now for the mask
Ingredients
1tbsp natural yogurt ( not low fat) at room temperature
1tsp runny honey
Combine ingredients and apply mixture to face leaving for 15 minutes before washing off with a steaming wash cloth.
If you have dry skin like myself you can use an extra tsp of honey
Oily skin? Add a few drops of lime juice
I love this mask when I'm stuck for time and I want a fresh looking face these are 2 products I normally have in the house and will double up as breakfast too... bonus.

DeleteThis is a great mask too! I have tried it , but I do not use these yoghurt much and I do not really like the smell. So I am only using honey and green tea face mask now.
